Sea Roller Rewards is Virgin Voyages’ casino program. Virgin publishes its five tiers officially: Showstopper at 0 points, Star at 5,000, Superstar at 15,000, Idol at 35,000, and Legend at 75,000. It does not publish its earn rate. The widely reported figure is $5 of slot coin-in per point and $10 on video poker, but that comes from secondary sources, not Virgin.
What Virgin Voyages actually publishes
The tier thresholds are official and clearly stated. So is the structure of the program year, which runs May 1 to April 30.
What is missing is the number that matters most. Virgin’s casino page presents its benefits grid as an image, and the earn rate is not stated in readable text anywhere we could find. Every “$5 per point” figure circulating online traces back to player reports rather than to Virgin.

The twelve-and-twelve structure
Virgin’s tier clock has two halves, and this is unusual enough to be worth understanding.
You get 12 months to earn a tier. Once you reach it, you get 12 months of sailing on that tier’s benefits. That means a tier earned late in the year still carries a full year of use, which is friendlier than programs where everything resets on one fixed date regardless of when you qualified.

What Star tier costs in real dollars

That is a meaningfully different posture from tier matching, which usually just grants you equivalent status. Virgin is offering to compete on the offer itself. If you already hold a strong Club Royale or Blue Chip certificate, this is the one lever at sea that can convert existing status into something better rather than merely equal.
