Boyd B Connected: Comps & Points, Explained
The locals' program. Boyd's regional and off-Strip casinos compete for regular players, and it shows in the earn math and the mailers. Here's how B Connected pays, with a calculator loaded with its base rates.

The one-minute version
- Locals casinos comp harder. Off-Strip and regional properties live on repeat visitors, so the share of theo returned (points, mailers, free play) typically runs richer than a Strip program's base rate. Our illustrative base: ≈1 point per $4 of slot coin-in (≈0.25% back in point value).
- Points are simple: about 1¢ of value each, redeemable for dining, rooms, and free play at Boyd properties.
- The mailer is the real product. B Connected's offer engine (free play, food, rooms) keys off your tracked play; consistent, concentrated play produces dramatically better mailers than scattered visits.
- Tables earn on your rating, like everywhere; our planning number is ~25% of theo back at Boyd's regional houses.

The calculator below is locked to B Connected's base rates (as of July 2026). Boyd's tier multipliers and near-constant promotions move the real number around, enter your actual rates in the Advanced panel if you know them.

The effective-rebate line is where a locals program shines; the same coin-in earns back a visibly larger slice of theo than the Strip pays. But the fundamental law doesn't move: the net expected cost stays positive. A richer rebate is a cheaper hobby, not an income.
Maximizing without overpaying
- Concentrate your play. The mailer engine rewards frequency and consistency at one program far more than raw volume scattered across three.
- Play the multiplier days: locals casinos run them constantly, and they genuinely change the earn math.
- Video poker players: mind the earn rate. Boyd houses are famous for better VP paytables, but points typically accrue slower on VP than slots. The paytable matters more than the points.
- Take the mailers, not the bait. A $50 free-play offer is only free if it doesn't pull an extra visit's worth of theo out of you.
