Celebrity publishes its full certificate ladder every month, and almost nobody reads it. Here it is with the numbers that matter added: what each rung would take from your sailing, and what that play actually costs.

Celebrity's Blue Chip Club awards Instant Cruise Rewards when your play crosses a point threshold during a sailing — a certificate for a future cruise, delivered before you disembark. The thresholds do not scale with the length of your cruise, so the real question is how much play each rung takes and what that play costs you.
Unusually, Celebrity answers half of that itself. It posts the whole ladder as a PDF on its own domain every month, one sheet per offer code — 12 rungs from 600 points up to 40,000, each with its stateroom class, who the fare comps, the FreePlay bonus and the taxes. That is more than Royal Caribbean publishes. What the chart does not tell you is the part below: the coin-in, the hours and the honest expected-loss price of getting there.

Advanced — conversion rates (Celebrity publishes neither; override with your sailing's numbers)
The 2¢ default is secondary: one source reports 50 points = $1 with a $5 minimum, and Celebrity's terms say only that point values are subject to change. Welcome FreePlay defaults to $0 because Celebrity publishes none and nobody has reported one to us — not because it is certainly zero. If you were given one, type it in. Note that the FreePlay bonus printed on each certificate below is separate: that one is official, and it arrives with the certificate rather than with your play.

How to read the table
- The first six columns are Celebrity's, transcribed from the July 2026 chart: the offer code, the points, the stateroom class, who the fare comps, the FreePlay bonus attached to the certificate, and the taxes-and-fees range per person. Those are what you are being offered.
- Coin-in is total money cycled through the machine — wins replayed count. That is what earns points, at 1 per $5 on slots or $15 on video poker.
- Expected cost is coin-in times the house edge: the theoretical loss of generating that play. A comped cruise whose expected cost exceeds what the cruise would cost to book is a purchase, not a prize — and at the upper rungs it usually is.
- Fits? compares the hours a rung needs against the casino time in your sailing. A ✗ means reaching it would take more play than you planned.
The taxes are not a rounding error
Every rung on the chart prints a taxes-and-fees range, and it is owed per person even when the fare is fully comped. At the bottom of the ladder that range runs to $394 a head, which on a two-guest booking is real money against a certificate earned for one. Gratuities are separate again. When you compare a rung's expected cost against what the sailing would cost to simply book, put the taxes on the certificate side of the ledger — they are part of its price.

How many points do I need for a free Celebrity cruise?
On Celebrity's July 2026 Instant Cruise Rewards chart the ladder starts at 600 points, which comps an interior stateroom for one guest. From 800 points up, most rungs comp the fare for one to two guests, and an oceanview appears at 3,000. The floor moves: the September 2025 chart started at 400 points with thirteen rungs, and the current one has twelve. Check the month's chart, linked above the table, before you plan around a number.
Does the Celebrity certificate cover both guests in the stateroom?
It depends on the rung. The chart marks each one: the lowest comps the cruise fare for one guest, the middle rungs are marked for one to two guests depending on the sailing, and from 3,000 points up the fare is comped for two at double occupancy. Taxes, fees and gratuities are owed for everyone on the booking either way, and the chart prints that range per rung — it runs from about $95 to just under $500 a person depending on the itinerary.
Can two people in the same stateroom combine points for one certificate?
No. Celebrity's terms bar pooling points toward Instant Cruise Rewards and toward FreePlay. A stateroom may pool points for one purpose only: reaching the 10,000-point minimum needed to convert Reward Points into onboard expense-account credit.
What is the FreePlay bonus attached to a Celebrity certificate?
From 1,500 points up, each Instant Cruise Rewards certificate carries a FreePlay amount printed on the offer sheet — $100 at 1,500 points, rising to $2,500 at the top rung. It comes with the certificate for the future cruise, separate from any FreePlay you convert from Reward Points on the sailing that earned it. Celebrity's website no longer displays these figures anywhere in HTML; they are in the monthly PDFs.
How fast do Celebrity Blue Chip points build?
One point per $5 of slot coin-in, or per $15 on video poker — Celebrity's published rates. So a rung's coin-in cost is simply its points times five for a slots player: the 600-point floor is $3,000 cycled through the machine, and 15,000 points is $75,000. What that costs you is coin-in times the house edge, which is the expected-cost column in the table above.
What house edge should I assume for Celebrity slots?
Celebrity publishes no slot RTP, and ships at sea are not bound by land-casino minimums.
